My bra and underwear match today and I feel like I can do anything.

Double Denim

Every time I say the words "double denim" my mother cringes. Thankfully her fears are unfounded; double denim is back!  However  there are some rules one needs to follow in order to pull the look off successfully. Please take note Brittney and JT.

Rule #1

Contrast colours. Never wear the same shade together. A chambray shirt with dark wash jeans is the kind of thing you want to go for.

Rule #2

Accessorise properly. Bright colours, striking shoes. Anything to break up the monotony of the outfit. 

Rule #3

Love your double denim. Only wear it if you feel comfortable. If you spend all day worrying about how you look, then you're not going to look your best, no matter how rocking your outfit is. Confidence is the best accessory. 

There you go! You're all set. That's pretty easy, not too hard to follow. Now go out, rock your best double denim and show my mother she's wrong.

Shoes

I've heard it said so many timea that if you're on a limited budget buy a single pair of high quality, expensive shoes that will last you for years to come. 

I'm not saying this isn't good advice, because it is. A single pair of black leather boots is a great investment. However fashion is a fickle thing, and not every look will last you from one season to the next.

That is why I'm hear today to boast about the cheap shoe.

These shoes cost me $15 each, $30 total for two pairs of shoes. I've been doing my happy dance all day. Sure, they're crappy quality, and won't last me into next winter. But I don't care. I really don't. I wouldn't have worn these styles last year, so who knows if I will again. 

On a student budget shopping is a difficult. Always keep an eye out for a bargain. When it comes to fashion just about anything goes. So if you'd rather save up for your high quality staples, good on you. You have more self control than I do.
